Calculating energy savings/loss
through Energy Efficiency
According to the ODEX indicator method, the Energy Savings/Loss through Energy Efficiency obtained in a year T compared to a year T0, conventionally chosen as a reference period, is calculated as the difference between the Energy Consumption that would have been necessary in year T to obtain a certain quantity of goods or services if the energy efficiency had been that of year T0 and the actual Energy Consumption in year T with which the same quantity of goods or services was obtained, with the energy efficiency of year T.
Practical example of applying the new energy analysis method for a final energy consumer with an energy consumption of over 1000 TOE.
